Do we have a children's play house for a long time, but it's already ruined and neglected? Occasionally, there is even a risk that the child may have a splinter. So in this case it is time to immediately renovate a house. Wood is naturally a beautiful material, but it is burdened and disturbed by the effects of climate change, so it is necessary to devote it to quality maintenance, especially if users are children.

Reasons for wood renovation

Wooden play houses, as well as pergolas, gazebos, terraces and fences, are not only burdened by the sun, but also by humidity, mold and various pests. If we want to feel comfortable in them, we have to protect them from these external influences, which we do most often with painting.

When to start the renovation of wood?

In general, the repair should come at a time when only surface coating of wood is disturbed. If the effects of the environment begin to fall under the wood itself, it is often too late and children's safety is at risk. In this case, it is worth considering whether the destroyed play house should not be replaced by a new, safer child for our child. There are a number of truly successful wooden kits on the market.

Workflow

We remove dirt, dust and grease from the surface of the wood, ideally clean the old paint, clean and dry. The next step is penetration. The penetration should be squeezed into the wood. After penetration, use a paint coat. The thinnest lacrosse are most suitable. If you want to apply a covering coat that overlays the wood texture, it is necessary to apply an exterior coating. It must be sufficiently flexible and durable to resist climate change. In this case, we create several very thin layers rather than one large layer of paint. Finish the work by using the paint to the exterior.

Tips:

Ideally, we approach the coatings in a cool, unadulterated dirt. We leave each layer of paint to dry for a long time, thereby improving its function and durability. Always make sure that the paint products are non-toxic because we are modifying a wooden cottage for children.
