What is a built-up area of land

The built-up area of the plot is the sum of all built-up areas of individual buildings. It is understood the area bounded by rectangular projections of the outer faces of the perimeter structures of all overground and underground floors in a horizontal plane. The area of loggias and bay windows is also included here.  In semi-covered areas, the built-up area is defined by the wrapping lines guided by the outer faces of the vertical structures into a horizontal plane. The built-up area of the land is defined differently in different legal regulations.  The built area of the plot is calculated by projecting the outer faces of the perimeter structures into a horizontal plane. It must include all perimeter structures including the ground and the basement. The built-up area of the plot is solved in connection with the land-use plan. This is the ratio of the built-up area to the total land area. It should be noted that each official interprets the concept of built-up area of land in a different way.
